Tips for Creating a Healthy Skin Care Routine

People aren’t just blessed with amazing skin, they like everyone else must work on it. What you do every day makes a huge difference to your complexion and if you look after your skin it will have a big impact on what you see in the mirror. Here are some great tips for creating a manageable skin care routine.

3 Key Stages

Cleansing – Washing your face.

Toner – Supplementing the skin with nutrients.

Moisturising – Keeping your skin soft and fully hydrated.

These three stages are vitally important when it comes to caring for your skin, if you wish to create a good skin care routine, you must include the three key stages mentioned above. If you neglect one of them, it will have a negative effect on your appearance.

The main goal of a healthy skin routine is to keep your complexion at its best, if you’ve any troublesome areas, you can pay extra attention to them by finding a system that works for you. It takes time to find the right products that are best suited to your skin and as we age, our needs will shift from one dimension to another. By working off these three core stages, you’ll be able to build a successful routine that works for you.

Don’t Get Frustrated

When you’ve designed a skin routine that you find manageable, don’t get frustrated if you don’t see immediate results. There is no quick fix and you won’t have an immaculate complexion in a matter of days or weeks. The more you stick to your routine, the greater chance you have of reaping the rewards. Skin care products take time to work, so give them at least 6 – 8 weeks before you begin to see a difference, it is important to apply them with a level of consistency – cleanser, toner, serum and then moisturiser.

Cleansing

Washing your face is the most important part of the routine, it helps to get rid of environmental pollutants, dirt and other substances which come in contact with your skin throughout the day. You should gently wash your face in the morning when you wake up and just before you go to bed.

Toner

You should apply a toner to your face just after you wash, put some toner on your hands and gently massage it into your skin. A toner is a great way of adding specific ingredients to your skin care routine.

Serums

Treating you face with serum is an essential part of any skin care routine. There are numerous facial serums that improve skin tone, giving you a healthy, vibrant complexion. If you’ve no major problems with your skin, you can still give it a boost with an antioxidant serum.

If you wish to have a healthy, flawless complexion, you must work on your daily routine. Great skin doesn’t just happen, it takes time and effort. You can treat different areas of your face with different skin products, depending on the types of issues you have. Ultimately, creating a good skin care routine is done through trial and error.
